Haihui Canteen

The Haihui Community Canteen is a community canteen established by COPL in Youhao North Street, Shayibake District, Urumqi. It is also the first government-guided social service pilot project undertaken by COPL, representing an initiative to advance urban service work with meticulous care and benefit the community.

In planning the convenience life circle of Youhao North Street, Shayibake District, COPL conducted a survey to understand the proportion of permanent residents in the community and the residents' needs. The survey revealed that the shortcoming in the construction of the convenience circle was the lack of diversity in small restaurants, with a majority of the residents being middle-aged and elderly. Based on this, COPL began planning and constructing the community canteen to provide residents with breakfast, nutritious meals, and other supply services, making it convenient for community residents to enjoy clean, hygienic, and delicious meals within the life circle. The service covers more than 1,500 households and over 1,000 elderly residents.

Based on the "UN+" platform, COPL has established a complete supply system from ingredient procurement to food preparation for the community canteen. In addition, COPL, together with the Haihui Community Canteen, launched the "canteen dining + home delivery" service and set up a volunteer service team to provide reservation meal services through the "Assisted Meal Service Vehicle for the Elderly." Specifically targeting elderly residents with advanced age or limited mobility, free meal delivery services are provided. Since its opening, the average daily dining population has been nearly 180 people, with over 6,000 meal assistance services provided throughout the year.

Currently, the community canteens have been piloted in various areas. COPL will further improve the community canteen services, bringing convenience and warmth to the residents.
